End of 22-23 Year Celebrations!

Changing of the Guard for the District took place June 28th! Picture 1-Swearing in of new Presidents- Best Wishes to incoming President Tammy Farley !! Picture 2- PDG Nathan Thomas and wife, and 23-24 DG Veronica Bent; Picture 3- 1 of 24 World Recognized Rotarians for lifetime service- Bart Cleary. So proud of our Community of Rotarians! Go 7710!

What a nice dinner and program celebrating the many accomplishments of the District led by a very emotional DG Nathan Thomas. We are thankful for Dolores’ leadership this past year and are looking forward to moving forward in service with Tammy Farley.

June 29th– Rotary Club of Angier celebrated our year of service and fellowship at Vicious Fishes in Fuquay. Our Treasurer, Gail Turner, was awarded for her continuing service keeping our books and funds in order! Tammy Farley was awarded Rotarian of the Year- her leadership has been amazing and will continue through 23-24 as she takes on the Club President position. We are very thankful for Dolores Price’s creative and witty style as we journeyed through the many 22-23 activities- She spearheaded- see articles and pictures of these events at The Rotary Club of Angier :

  • The Oct 24th IceCream/ World Polio Social at the Angier Park where we celebrated our young athletes and their coaches while helping the public know how Rotary has impacted the elimination of Polio around the world;
  • Angier Rotary’s participation and support of the Town’s Trunk or Treat event in the Park Oct 30th;
  • The Club’s Craft night at Simply Said with Kim Causer and Jessica leading the creation of our crafts;
  • Bathroom Baskets and games for the Rotary House at the Boys & Girls Home at Waccamaw NC;
  • The Rotary Foundation Funded Butterfly Benches Conservation Project being linked to Mrs. Thompson’s third grade class at Pine Springs Prep Academy who asked towns in NC to establish a Butterfly Pollinator’s pathway;
  • The Mayor’s Proclamation Monarch Pledge on April 1st for the Town of Angier to be a supporter of the Butterfly Pollinator Pathway;
  • Town of Angier, NC Mayor and Commissioners recognition of the Rotary Club of Angier‘s 40th Anniversary serving the community, our friends, neighbors and families near and across all borders; and
  • June 13th First Responders Recognition Breakfast at Ed’s Family Restaurant ❤
