Bi Weekly Meetings

Angier Rotary meeting times 2022:

2nd & 4th Tuesdays 5:30pm at the Angier Chamber of Commerce, 24 E Depot St, Angier NC 27501

Unless otherwise posted on Facebook or per local venues like the Angier Chamber.

Angier Rotary strives to collaborate with students interested in gaining community service skills and volunteer hoursĀ
and who need to develop leadership skills. This includes the local Boy Scout Troop 125, the Harnett Central High School (HCHS) Interact Club and the Campbell University Rotaract Club. Many of the Interact high school students continue to serve during their college years in Rotaract Clubs and then further continue to serve as adults in Rotary Clubs. Our Club works to involve these students whenever projects allow or when we have speakers providing life-lessons and highlighting needs in the community.
Our Club with some of the HCHS Interact Club students hosting a Zaxby's Fundraiser for a HCHS Teacher whose son was injured in the UNC Charlotte 2019 mass shooting. This event was also supported by the Rotary Club of Lillington. The Lillington Zaxby's donated a percentage of the evenings' sales to the Clubs, who in-turn provided the funds to the Teacher's family to help offset medical-related costs..
Our Club with some of the Campbell University Rotaract Club members installing bird feeders at Angier's Oak Hill Assisted Living facility. This was our 2021 Grant Project. See the News section for more details on this project.

Often our meetings are working in the community to fill the needs and also to help in community projects, not just our projects. We partner every year with either our Angier Food Lion or Carly C’s to increase our giving by having the stores match our food donation to the Angier Food Pantry. The first picture below shows our giving of pallets of food boxes with Food Lion and the second picture shows our giving with Carly C’s. This usually occurs in December/January when the food needs are greatest. The third picture depicts Angier Rotary’s potted plant donation to the downtown Outdoor Seating area pictured fourth. We helped establish this seating area. In 2022-2023, we are working on a project this year to establish a Butterfly Migration Path on the Broad Street Greenway between the fire department and town hall.
